Jethro

Age: 2 yrs 2 mos

Jethro, who is black, semi-long-haired and slightly curvy(!) is looking for a forever home. Now estimated to be 2 years, 2 months' old, this handsome boy had taken up residence in a garden that wasn't his and was handed into a vet practice suffering with a nasty injury to his neck. The Vet swiftly treated what was a burst abscess and this has healed nicely. However, Jethro struggled to settle in the accommodation at the practice and staff contacted HFC to ask for help to find him a foster place. In the meantime, steps were taken to find Jethro's owner but he was not microchipped and his owner did not come forward.

Sadly, we have not received any applications for lovely Jethro since we posted his profile and he has been staying in HFC foster care in Woking for nine weeks. However, during this time, he has become a sweet and affectionate cat who actively seeks out human attention. He loves to receive head rubs and to make biscuits and most surprisingly, has developed a liking for being held!

Jethro is confident, curious and playful. His ideal home would be with adults or alongside a family with children, aged 12+, who are able to read and respect his boundaries. With a slow and careful introduction, Jethro has potential to be happy living with another friendly cat of a similar age.

Jethro's ideal home will be calm and somewhere he feels safe and is able to build trust with his new people at his own pace. The most important thing to Jethro is his food, so meals served at a regular time will be the way to win this young man's heart!

Jethro has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated and ready to meet potential adopters. If you would like to welcome him into your home, please take a look at the checklist in his media where you can see the type of home he is looking for. Thank you.
