Bringing a new cat home is exciting, but it can be stressful for your new furry friend. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition.

1. Set up a Safe Room

Before your cat arrives, set up a quiet, enclosed room (like a bathroom or spare bedroom) with their litter box, food, water, and a cozy bed. This gives them a safe space to acclimate.

2. Take it Slow

Let your cat explore their safe room at their own pace. Don't force interaction. Sit in the room and read a book or talk softly so they get used to your presence.

3. Gradual Introductions

Once your cat is comfortable in the safe room, gradually let them explore other areas of the house one room at a time. If you have other pets, introduce them slowly through a cracked door or a baby gate.
